Anecdotally and professionally I've found Hughes' ideas much more helpful and more coherent, but not without reservation. However I am perturbed by how people like Perry, Sunderland et al and their pseudo academia are often received and repeated uncritically within children's services departments.Dr Sue D O'Nymhnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4397756142950826381.post-9716666907204212042016-06-25T08:46:33.831+01:002016-06-25T08:46:33.831+01:00I'm a research/teaching university development...I'm a research/teaching university developmental neuropsychologist and a Chartered Psychologist, you can probably guess from the above that NMT makes little sense in the light of well-supported theories (and evidence) on how brain-behaviour links develop.
Have you got a bargepole?DrSpousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07259337858075146058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4397756142950826381.post-80541570570287328572016-06-24T21:37:50.248+01:002016-06-24T21:37:50.248+01:00Would love sources and a sense of your qualificati...Would love sources and a sense of your qualifications as I am taking on NMT as a non-evidence based practice and need support.Paul Jerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13659603775147950891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4397756142950826381.post-26078973890379381002013-08-27T19:35:55.068+01:002013-08-27T19:35:55.068+01:00A few evidence-based programs in this area:

As he became integrated into ours, he changed to reflect the cheeky, unhelpful kids we seem to bring up in our society, so I suspect culture and attitudes are the complete difference in attachment and not.

The nature v nurture debate comes in here too and although I do think there is an argument for nurture, it is hard to leave behind some of the family traits that can affect children.

Lesleyhttp://scottishmum.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4397756142950826381.post-87144766777070980772012-08-16T16:25:05.120+01:002012-08-16T16:25:05.120+01:00I think that its not totally bad to have attachmen...I think that its not totally bad to have attachment parenting.
